I have been working so hard over the summer to get ready for the fall. I learned all about retrieving and hunting and searching. I also learned obedience skills for next year.
I had a really successful spring. I placed third in an AKC field trial. Julie was so proud. I also earned my first 2 points towards my AKC conformation Championship.
My summer was really exciting because I got to swim and run and hunt lots. Julie worked me everyday. Somedays where harder than other but I always wanted to work.
This fall I had my first heat cycle and got a little bit defiant...My first test was during this and I only scored 166 points in my HZP. Julie was a little disappointed in me but was happy that I worked hard at it. She knew I could do better.
The second test that i participated in was a Solms. I really tried hard to impress the judges. I did my best work that day. Julie was really proud of me. She told me I could have not done a better job. I scored a Prize 1 with full points (all 4s) good thing it wasn't higher...I only have 4 toes to keep track :). I also received a 4h in my nose and in my search. Julie said that means excellent. Wow I really did do a good job.
Julie told me that I still had a few more things to test in before the end of the year. One of them was a AKC Tracking test. I went to the test with Julie and we tracked together to find the dropped glove. I earned my AKC TD title! Julie said that I did a great job, I was only one of two dogs that passed that day. Glad i did.
I still have some AKC Rally and Conformation to do before the year is out. I hope i do well.
It has already started to snow around here and I love to play in it. I just wish the daylight lasted longer this time of year.
My current accomplishments :
AKC: Rally Novice (RN), Beginer novice obedience (BN), Junior Hunter (JH)
NAVHDA: Natural Ability Prize 1 (107pts)
DVK: Derby Prize 1 (4h search), Solms Prize 1 (4h nose, 4h search)
JGHV: VJP 62, HZP 166
More later.
